Let’s Share Our Faith

“After hearing so many inspiring, faith-filled stories, I KNOW God will come through in my life too.”

“And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.” Hebrews 11:6

“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” (Hebrews 11:1) I think we can all agree that it’s hard to believe in something you can’t see. But Paul, in the book of Hebrews, goes on to tell us that to draw near to God we MUST have faith and that He rewards those who seek Him. Faith is what allows us to spend eternity with God in heaven, which is the greatest reward He gives us.

And that is why it’s so important to collect up stories and testimonies of God’s faithfulness. The Bible is FULL of these stories. Over and over and over again, He came through for His people in stories of grace and love. There are so many stories of people who trusted God would do what He said He would do, and they were rewarded because of that faith.

I also love hearing stories from the people around me. So many people have a testimony of faith, a time when they had to lean on God and, because He’s just so, so good, He came through in a big way. These stories are inspiring to me, especially when it’s someone who is close to me. Seeing the strong faith of my friends and family helps my faith grow stronger.

After hearing so many inspiring, faith-filled stories, I KNOW God will come through in my life too. I have hope that no matter what else comes my way, I have a God who loves me and is for me.

Action Steps:

  • How has God fulfilled promises in your life? Reflecting on these times is a great way to strengthen your faith. Ask a friend to tell you stories from her life if you need a little extra inspiration.

  • Read a story from the Bible. A few of my favorites are: Abraham, David and Goliath, Daniel and the lion’s den, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fiery furnace, and the story of the Centurion with Jesus.

  • Don’t be afraid to share your testimony with others! You never know how your faith might inspire others.

Prayer: God, sometimes faith is hard. Sometimes it’s easier to try to do things myself because I can control it. But I know, and I have seen, that You can always take care of me better than I can myself. Use those around me to strengthen my faith, and use me to strengthen the faith of others. Thank You for all the rewards we receive because of our faith, whether the rewards are here on earth or in our eternal life with You. You are so, so good and I give You all the glory, amen.
