You Have Been Rescued!

Spirit dwelling in me I would be dominated by sin, stuck in a jail cell."
“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” 2 Corinthians 3:17 (NIV)
You’re in jail. A slave to the sin you committed. Forever locked in a cell, left to think about how terrible you are, how shameful you should feel. Your brokenness is all you think about, all you dream about and all that you’re reminded of daily. Then, imagine someone has the key to open that cell, give you a big hug and tell you that you are free. You’re no longer dominated by that sin because you have been rescued!
I need to be rescued every. single. day. Why? Because without the Holy Spirit dwelling in me I would be dominated by sin, stuck in a jail cell. I desperately need the Holy Spirit, my Counselor, Helper and Advocate because that is where there is freedom. Jesus Christ, your Heavenly Father, died on the cross for you so that you could experience true freedom, which Romans 8:6 says is “life and peace”.
Moms, step into this freedom that has so graciously been given to you by your loving Father. You no longer are slaves to your sin and condemnation (Romans 8:1). Ask Jesus to be the Lord of your life, accept that He died on the cross for your sins and left you with the everlasting gift of the Holy Spirit. It’s the only thing that can rescue you from your sin and give you eternal freedom; because where the Spirit is, there is freedom.
Action Steps:
If you have never asked Jesus into your heart, do it today. Don’t wait. The Holy Spirit is waiting to dwell inside of you and rescue you.
